Artist Comments:

I did this entire drawing in one day, one sitting. I think that's the first time I've ever done a really good drawing in just one day so that's why I mention it.

The hair turned out so much better than I thought it would! (Drawing hair is always so intimidating to me!) Still not as dark as it is in the ref pic, but oh well, you get the idea. Also, I did not do the stripes in the shirt and on the headband because I.. just didn't want to.

I edited the scan of the drawing a bit in photoshop because my scanner put some lines on it. My scanner is also the reason that the edges of the scan (most noticeably in the stray strands of hair on the right side) are very blurry. And for some reason, the detail in the shirt (the shading) doesn't show in this scan. Needless to say, this drawing looks a whole lot better in person.

I gave this drawing to her as a gift.
